Privacy Policy
Last updated October 19, 2026
SC Cards & Collectibles LLC (“SC Cards & Collectibles,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information entrusted to us.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal information when you visit sccardscollectibles.com (the “Site”), buy our products, create an account, apply to consign, use our consignor portal, subscribe to communications, contact us, or otherwise interact with our website and related services (together, the “Services”).
Our website is built on Shopify and works as a catalog of our inventory. The Site does not take orders, process payments, or fulfill orders. We sell primarily through third-party online marketplaces such as eBay and Whatnot (each, a “Third-Party Marketplace”), and most purchases are completed through the relevant Third-Party Marketplace. In limited cases, we may sell an item through another channel, such as a private sale or an in-person card show.
Some provisions of this Privacy Policy apply specifically to people who submit items to us for consignment (“Consignors”).

1. Personal Information We Collect
The information we collect depends on how you interact with our Services. We may collect the following categories of information. We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information, such as health information, biometric data, or precise location.
Contact Information
Your name, email address, telephone number, mailing address, and other contact information you provide.
Order and Transaction Information
When you buy one of our items on a Third-Party Marketplace, that Third-Party Marketplace will process your payment and hold your payment and delivery details under its own policies. We do not receive or store your payment card number. We receive the order details the relevant Third-Party Marketplace makes available to us, such as the item purchased, the sale price, payment status, and buyer information (which may include your name, contact information, and shipping information). We store them in our own internal database to manage consignments and for business reporting. If we sell an item outside a Third-Party Marketplace, such as in a private sale or at a card show, we collect the information needed to complete and record that sale, such as your name, contact information, and shipping address, and we store it in our internal database.
Account Information
If you create a store account on our Site, Shopify stores your account information, such as your name, email address, and any preferences or details you choose to save. Store accounts are optional and are not needed to purchase our products, which are bought on Third-Party Marketplaces. Consignors sign in to our consignor portal with their email address, and we email them a one-time sign-in code.
Promotion Information
If you use a promotion, credit, or discount code, tell us how you heard about us, or accept a promotion offer (for example, in the consignor portal or by replying to an email or social media post), we collect that information together with the related order, account, consignment, or offer so we can apply and track the promotion. We keep a dated record of each acceptance, including your message if you accept by email or social media, the terms of the offer you accepted, and your credit balance and how credits are applied, which also appear on your settlement statements.
Consignment and Payout Information
If you apply to consign with us or submit property to us for consignment, we collect the following information:
Application. Your contact details and a description of your collection, submitted through our online application form, so we can review your application.
Consignment agreement. Your legal name, mailing address, telephone number, and electronic signature, along with your confirmation that you own the items or have authority to consign them. Our electronic-signature provider also records details of the signing, such as the date, time, and IP address, to verify the signature.
Items and shipments. Photos and descriptions of your items (including photographs and scans we take when your items arrive), grading or certification details, any pricing or sale instructions, listing information, tracking numbers for the packages you send us, and the item count we record when your shipment arrives.
Sales and payouts. Each sale of your items, the related Third-Party Marketplace fees, our consignment fee, and the payouts we make to you.
Payout details. Your chosen payout method and, for PayPal or Venmo payouts, the email address, phone number, or username linked to your PayPal or Venmo account.
How We Handle Identity and Payout Information
We do not routinely ask Consignors for government-issued ID, such as a driver’s license or passport. If we need to verify your identity or your authority to consign an item, for example when you act for a business or an estate, we may ask for reasonable documentation. We pay Consignors through PayPal, Venmo, or direct bank (ACH) transfer. If you choose ACH, you provide your bank details directly to Stripe, our payout provider, through its own sign-up, and we do not receive or store your bank account or routing numbers. Payout providers may collect certain financial, tax, or identity information directly from you and handle it under their own terms and privacy policies. Where they do, we may receive limited verification, account-status, payout, or transaction information rather than complete financial credentials.
We do not use payout or tax information for advertising or marketing purposes.
A Consignor’s financial, tax, identity, and payout information is not displayed to buyers or included in public Third-Party Marketplace listings. We do not publish a Consignor’s name or contact details in our listings.
Communications
Information you provide when you contact us, submit a form, use our consignor chat, request customer support, communicate regarding a purchase or consignment, subscribe to our newsletter or other communications, or otherwise communicate with us. We keep a record of messages you send us, including through our consignor chat and email.
Device and Usage Information
We and our service providers may automatically collect information such as your IP address, browser type, device information, operating system, referring pages, pages viewed, interactions with the Site, and similar usage information.

Shopify hosts our Site and the store accounts created on it, provides analytics about how visitors use the Site, and processes certain personal information in connection with access to and use of our Site.

These parties may receive or process personal information as reasonably necessary to provide their services, complete transactions, comply with applicable law, or otherwise perform the particular business function for which they have been engaged. Third-Party Marketplace Data and eBay Personal Data
We connect with eBay through eBay APIs or other eBay-approved integrations to integrate order data, inventory, and other marketplace components. Our API connects only with eBay. “eBay Personal Data” means personal information relating to an eBay user that we receive from eBay, through an eBay API or approved integration, or in connection with an eBay transaction, such as a buyer’s or seller’s name, contact information, shipping information, and order and transaction information.
We use eBay Personal Data only as necessary to facilitate, administer, support, and secure eBay transactions and Services , provide customer support, process returns and claims, prevent fraud, and maintain records required for accounting, tax, legal, or compliance purposes and for consignment management and business reporting (including in our internal database), and only as permitted by applicable eBay requirements and applicable law. We do not use it for unrelated marketing, advertising, profiling, lead generation, data enrichment, artificial-intelligence or machine-learning training, or other independent commercial purposes, and we do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise commercialize it.
We do not use contact information obtained through an eBay or other Third-Party Marketplace transaction to enroll a buyer in our marketing communications or to send promotion offers unless the buyer separately subscribes through a channel where consent is appropriately obtained.
Access to eBay Personal Data is limited to persons, systems, and service providers with a legitimate need for an authorized purpose. We retain and delete it in accordance with applicable eBay requirements and applicable law, including when our eBay API or developer access ends.
Other Third-Party Marketplaces. If we receive information from other Third-Party Marketplaces, whether through an API or the marketplace’s seller tools or reports, we handle it the same way as eBay Personal Data. We use it only as necessary to administer and support transactions and maintain appropriate records, including for consignment management and business reporting, as permitted by that marketplace’s requirements and applicable law. We do not use it for unrelated marketing or other independent commercial purposes, we limit access to people and systems with a legitimate need, and we keep and delete it as described in Section 9.
5. Advertising, Analytics and Data Sharing
We may use Shopify features and other analytics or marketing tools to measure Site activity, understand visitor interests, improve our Services, and market our products. Some providers may collect information about your online activity over time and across websites when their tools are enabled on our Site.
We do not sell personal information for money. Under some privacy laws, sharing information with advertising or analytics partners can still count as a “sale,” “sharing,” or “targeted advertising.” Where required by law, you may opt out of these activities; see Section 11 for how to submit a request.
Where required by law and supported by the technologies on our Site, we treat recognized privacy preference signals, such as Global Privacy Control (“GPC”), as an opt-out request for that browser or device. We may not recognize other browser-based “Do Not Track” signals.
6. Cookies
Cookies and similar technologies help us run the Site, remember preferences, understand traffic and performance, prevent fraud, and support analytics and marketing. You can control or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some cookies are necessary for the Site to function, so blocking them may affect how the Site works.
7. Marketing Communications
If you subscribe or otherwise consent to receive marketing communications, we may use your contact information to send information regarding products, promotions, inventory, consignment Services, company updates, or other offers.
You may unsubscribe from promotional emails at any time through the unsubscribe mechanism contained in the communication.
Even if you unsubscribe from promotional messages, we may continue sending non-promotional communications relating to orders, transactions, consignments, payouts, promotions you have accepted, customer service, security, or your account.
Calls and texts about your consignment. By signing the consignment agreement, you agree that we may call or text you about your consignment, including with automated messages. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out of text messages at any time, or HELP for help. We will not send marketing text messages without your separate consent.
8. How We Disclose Personal Information
Service Providers. We may disclose personal information to service providers performing services on our behalf, including those described in Section 4.
Third-Party Marketplaces. We may disclose information to Third-Party Marketplaces, and any authentication providers they use, when necessary to operate, administer, synchronize, support, list, or otherwise manage transactions involving products offered through those Third-Party Marketplaces.
At Your Direction. We may disclose information when you direct us or authorize us to provide information to another party.
Legal Requirements. We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, legal process, court orders, governmental requests, tax or reporting obligations (including unclaimed property reporting), or other legal requirements.
Security and Protection. We may disclose information when reasonably appropriate to detect or prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents, the sale of stolen or counterfeit items, unlawful conduct, or violations of our policies and agreements, or to protect our rights or the rights and safety of others.
Business Transactions. We may disclose information in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, bankruptcy, sale of assets, or other business transaction involving us.
Depending on the recipient and purpose, categories of information disclosed may include contact information; account information; order, shipping, and transaction information; device and usage information; consignment and item information; and, where reasonably necessary for the particular service, tax or payout information.
9. Data Retention
As a general guide, we keep account, consignment sale, fee, statement, payout, and promotion and credit records and signed consignment agreements for up to seven years after the later of the closing of the Consignor’s account or the Consignor’s last transaction. We keep buyer names, contact information, and shipping details that we copy into our internal database, or collect in a sale outside a Third-Party Marketplace, for 24 months after the sale, and then delete or anonymize them. We keep the related sale and transaction records, without those buyer details, as described above. These periods are subject to Third-Party Marketplace requirements and applicable law. We keep other personal information, such as store account details, newsletter subscriptions, declined consignment applications, and promotion offers or acceptances from people who do not open an Account, only as long as needed for the purpose for which it was collected. We may keep information longer where needed to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
10. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, loss, or misuse.
Access to personal information is limited to team members and contractors with a legitimate business need, is governed by our internal policies and procedures, and is subject to confidentiality obligations.
However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure. We are not responsible for how independent third parties, such as Third-Party Marketplaces and payment providers, handle information under their own policies (see Section 14).
If a security incident affects your personal information, we will notify you if required by applicable law.
Where Information Is Stored and Accessed
We are based in the United States, and our consignment database is hosted in the United States. Some of our service providers and some members of our team are located outside the United States and may access personal information from outside of the United States, subject to the safeguards and access rules described above. If you are located outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States and other countries whose data-protection laws may differ from those where you live. If you are in the EEA, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, see Section 12.
11. Your Privacy Rights and Choices
Depending on where you reside and applicable law, you may have rights to request access to personal information we maintain about you; request correction of inaccurate personal information; request deletion; obtain a portable copy of certain information; opt out of certain sale, sharing, or targeted-advertising activities; withdraw consent where processing depends on consent; and appeal certain decisions concerning a privacy request.
You may submit a privacy request by contacting us at contact@sccardscollectibles.com. We will respond to privacy requests within 45 days (or any shorter period the law requires). If we need more time, we may extend that period once by up to 45 additional days, and we will tell you why.
We may need to verify your identity before completing certain requests, for example by sending a one-time code to the email address we have on file. Where permitted by applicable law, an authorized agent may make certain requests on your behalf.
Information held by Third-Party Marketplaces (such as eBay), PayPal, Stripe, or other companies under their own policies is outside our systems, so you will need to contact those companies directly to access or delete it. Order and buyer information that we copied into our own database is covered by this policy, and you can ask us to access or delete it by submitting a request as described above.
If we deny a privacy request and applicable law provides you with a right to appeal, our response will explain the reason for our decision and your applicable appeal rights. You may submit an appeal by emailing contact@sccardscollectibles.com with the subject line “Privacy Appeal.” We will process and respond to an appeal within the timeframe required by applicable law.
These rights may be subject to exceptions and limitations under applicable law.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights.
12. International Consignors (EEA, United Kingdom, and Switzerland)
We accept consignors from outside the United States. If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, this Section applies in addition to the rest of this Privacy Policy. SC Cards & Collectibles LLC is the controller of your personal information.
We process your personal information to enter into and perform our consignment agreement with you, including paying you; to comply with legal obligations, such as tax and accounting rules; for our legitimate interests, such as preventing fraud, securing our systems, and running our business; and, where required, with your consent, which you may withdraw at any time. Providing the information we request in the application and the agreement is necessary to enter into the agreement. We send marketing and promotional offers to people in these regions only as local law permits.
We are based in the United States, so your personal information is transferred to and processed in the United States. Where the law requires a transfer mechanism, we rely on approved safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum. You can contact us for more information about these safeguards.
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to access your personal information; have it corrected or erased; restrict or object to certain processing; receive a portable copy; and withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, contact us at contact@sccardscollectibles.com. We will respond within one month, which we may extend by up to two further months for complex or numerous requests.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority, such as the Information Commissioner’s Office in the United Kingdom. We would appreciate the chance to address your concerns first. If a personal data breach affects you, we will notify you and the competent authority where required by law.
13. Age Requirements
Our consignment services are intended for adults. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher, to apply to consign or to sign a consignment agreement. A store account on our Site must be created and held by a person who is at least 18, or by a parent or legal guardian on behalf of someone under 18. A parent or legal guardian may consign items owned by a minor, but the account and the consignment agreement are the adult’s. Our Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
14. Third-Party Websites and Marketplaces
Our Site may contain links to third-party websites, marketplaces, social networks, or other online services, including listings offered by us through Third-Party Marketplaces.
If you follow a link from our Site to a Third-Party Marketplace, any transaction there is subject to that marketplace’s own terms and policies.
If you bid, comment, chat, or otherwise interact with us during a live sale, on a Third-Party Marketplace, or on our social media pages, that platform may show your username and activity to others and handles it under its own policies. We may see and keep your username and messages, but we do not control what the platform displays.
We are not responsible for the independent privacy, security, or data-handling practices of third-party websites or Third-Party Marketplaces. We encourage you to review their applicable privacy policies before providing personal information.
15. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our Services, technology, business practices, Third-Party Marketplace relationships, or applicable legal requirements.
We will post the revised Privacy Policy on the Site and update the Effective Date and/or Last Updated date above.
Changes apply going forward. If we make a material change to how we use personal information we have already collected, we will provide notice through a prominent notice on the Site, email, or another legally permitted method and, where required by law, ask for your consent.
